The development of our method
We are dressage riders ourselves and have competed regularly over the years. Our outfits were always on point, except for the hair. It kept falling down, the helmet wouldn't fit properly, and it just didn't do justice to the rest of our look. So we decided to do something about it.
We knew there had to be a better way. We designed accessories to make the bun look beautiful, but we were still missing the right method. We tried countless things, until we came up with the idea of using a hairnet to gather all the excess hair. A bun made this way feels incredibly stable and secure - it'll last all day, because you can really tighten it with the hairnet. Our method also works with any helmet, as the bun sits low enough for the helmet to slide in behind it. If you're struggling to make it fit, put the helmet on first, and then make your ponytail. With this method the helmet can go as low as the ponytail.

Wat als mijn haar heel dik of lang is?
Onze methode (zoals te zien in de video hierboven) werkt perfect voor dik of lang haar. Dankzij het haarnetje blijft je wedstrijdknot de hele dag strak en netjes.
Soms gebruiken we zelfs twee haarnetjes: één om al het haar te vangen en één om alles extra goed vast te zetten ♡
De grootte van je haardonut is ook belangrijk. We raden meestal een kleine donut aan, maar bij dikker of langer haar kun je beter een medium of zelfs grote donut gebruiken, omdat er simpelweg meer haar in moet passen.
We raden de grote donut echter zelden aan - die werkt alleen goed als je haar zowel lang als dik is. Heb je minder volume, dan komen de accessoires minder mooi uit en is het lastiger om een strakke, gepolijste afwerking te krijgen ♡
Hoe krijg ik de knot comfortabel onder mijn cap?
Met deze methode past elke cap gemakkelijk - zelfs bij dik haar. Al het extra haar zit netjes in het haarnetje, zodat je de knot een beetje naar buiten kunt trekken en de cap achter de knot kunt laten glijden in plaats van erbovenop.
Heb je moeite? Probeer dan dit: nadat je de lage paardenstaart hebt gemaakt, trek het elastiek voorzichtig een beetje los. Zo krijgt je cap meer ruimte om comfortabel achter de knot te zitten.
