THE BEGINNING · 2022

Hi, we're Laura & Julie.

We started BelliNoxx in 2022, when we were 15 years old. Best friends, dressage riders and two girls who cared a lot about the details of our competition looks.

At the time, the competition hair accessories we could find felt outdated to us. We wanted something different – something that made competition hair feel like part of the outfit, rather than something you simply had to do.

So we started creating what we couldn’t find ourselves.

THE ORIGINAL · 2022

The original BelliNoxx bun.

In 2022, we began developing a new approach to competition hair.

We started with faux fur as the base, then added crystal elastics. Instead of creating one fixed hair accessory or hairnet, we designed individual pieces that could be mixed, matched and layered in different ways.

The idea was simple: every rider should be able to create beautiful competition hair while still making the look her own.

That became the BelliNoxx bun - the layered and customisable competition-hair look originally developed by BelliNoxx in 2022.

THE BELLINOXX METHOD

The look was only half of it.

We wanted a beautiful, elegant competition bun that stayed in place and worked with our riding helmets. Traditional buns often looked messy, felt loose and made it difficult for our helmets to fit properly.

So, at just 15 years old, we decided to create our own solution. We developed the BelliNoxx Method, using a hairnet to gather all the excess hair and create space behind the bun for the helmet. Alongside it, we designed our own hair accessories to give the finished bun the elegance and finishing touches we had always wanted.

Because even the smallest details deserve to be extraordinary.

THE DEFINITION

So, what is a BelliNoxx bun?

The BelliNoxx bun is our signature take on the traditional dressage competition bun, first created in 2022. We wanted to make competition hair look as good as the rest of our outfit, so we developed a unique method and collection of hair accessories.

By combining the BelliNoxx Method with our unique hair accessories, we created our signature BelliNoxx bun. Using a faux-fur piece, glitter and pearl accessories, decorative pins and hairnets, every rider can create a competition bun that reflects their own style. The result is an elegant look designed to stay secure and fit under your helmet.
